Arqiva chief executive John Cresswell is to step down from his role with the broadcast infrastructure and facilities firm.

Cresswell, who joined Arqiva in 2011, will remain with the company until the end of August.

Prior to joining Arqiva he held the role of chief operating officer at ITV and served as interim chief executive at the broadcaster before Adam Crozier was hired.

A spokeswoman for Arqiva said his successor will be announced “in due course”.

She added: “Under [Cresswell’s] leadership Arqiva has significantly grown its profits, has a forward order book at an all-time high of £6.4bn and will this year deliver record revenues.”
