Audio Network was the first company to launch a large scale, rights cleared catalogue in the UK.
The business model is fast becoming the standard for production companies, broadcasters, advertisers and most particularly for producers needing music pre-cleared for international and multi-platform distribution.
Formed in 2001, Audio Network built its catalogue organically by recruiting leading composers in the UK and inviting them to participate as shareholders. The company remains the only rights-cleared production music catalogue to record its music in the UK using British composers, studios, performers and orchestras.
This commitment to organic growth and maintaining world class production standards has proved a great advantage because it has enabled consistency in the quality and categorisation of the music.
The company applies as much significance to the detailed classification of the music, the ease with which tracks can be found as to their quality, and this has led to its website becoming the most popular music search tool available.
The company has now committed to dramatically accelerate its recording schedule and is currently producing over 100 CDs a year bringing the total to some 18,000 tracks. It now plans to increase this even further over the coming months/years.
