
Chris Curtis
Chris has been a journalist for 25 years and has spent the vast majority working at the TV trade bible Broadcast. After focusing primarily on news, he became its editor in February 2014 and its editor in chief in 2019.
Chris leads a team that generates exclusive content across multiple daily online newsletters and a glossy monthly print magazine, and plays a key role on awards, conferences and events. He also has editorial responsibility for the Broadcast Intelligence service.
As well as being an awards judge for Bafta and the Royal Television Society, Chris is an experienced session chair and has done media work including Newsnight, BBC Breakfast and all the major news bulletins. Under his watch, Broadcast’s Not 4 Sale campaign, against the planned privatisation of Channel 4, won a PPA Award.
He previously covered the hotel and fashion industries for Centaur and Emap respectively.
