A second new entrant in this year's poll, Outright has been on a roll since its acquisition by Shed two years ago, with turnover up a huge 167.5% in 2007, its first full year of trading as part of the group.
"We'd always been very much a formats-driven business," notes managing director Chris Bonney.
"We've continued to be strong in formats but the really dramatic growth has come in finished programmes."
Bonney adds its most recent financial year (ending December '07) did not include Wall to Wall's international business, since that acquisition only took place in November 2007.
And the company has also been busy striking deals with other indies, including Touch Productions, Keo Films and Catherine Bailey, the producer behind BBC1 comedy Life of Riley.
"The growth is coming for the right reasons, which is the addition of good commissioned hours from within the group and our third-party partners," says Bonney.
