Princess Talent agency to close

Vernon Kay back in his T4 days

Princess Talent Management, the agency which launched the TV careers of Vernon Kay and Fearne Cotton, is to close its doors on Friday.

The boutique management company was launched by Princess Productions in 2000 but was not included in the 2007 sale of Princess to the Shine Group.

It has not lodged any accounts with Companies House since 2004 but it is understood to make a profit of around £100,000 a year, with just over 20 clients including Janet Street Porter and Emma Griffiths on its books.

All of its clients other than Street Porter have now moved to rival agencies. She will move across to Princess Productions with head of talent Emma Hardy as her manager.

Princess Talent Management agent Kate Douglas has already left the company and Jan Croxon will leave at the end of the week.

A spokesman said: "Whilst our talent arm remains profitable, it has been always been our intention since joining the Shine Group to wind it down and fully concentrate on the ever-expanding TV production side of the business."
