"Look out Bafta winners - Ben Ormerod's hot on your heels," declares Blue studio manager Jim Jacobs.
After only two years in the role, Ormerod has tackled some of Blue's most technically challenging projects including a 5.1 mix for Darlow Smithson's Day of the Kamikaze.
He also brought Joanna Lumley's Northern Lights to life, dealing with difficult location footage.
Jacobs describes Ormerod's work with Day of the Kamikaze as "sound designing archive footage in an explosive hyper-real way for a 60-minute programme that left the viewer shell-shocked."
With his recent work on Roisin Murphy's new pop video, the client's brief was to make a section of the song sound like the noise of the psyche breaking down.
Says Jacobs: "There has not yet been a mix yet at which Ben has not excelled."
