So says Paul Austin, post-production manager at BBC Post Production of McGowan's progress since April 2007 - when he took over responsibility for its children's village, overseeing a staff of 20.
His negotiation of a service level agreement with indie Maverick Television was a first for BBC Post Production, and it has proven highly successful for both parties.
Responsible for overseeing key shows such as Blue Peter, Newsround, Smart, Beat the Boss and Serious Ocean, he also assisted with the creation of a presentation studio for production and managed the installation of a new Unity server and other HD upgrades.
Austin adds: "Rob has endured a steep learning curve while still managing day-to-day projects with all 13 edit suites, a Pro Tools suite and three studios full to capacity."
