Turner Broadcasting has acquired a fourth series of the live-action comedy Life with Derek, to broadcast on Boomerang in 2009.
The 18 x 30-minute series signals the channel's commitment to live action content, and follows the recommission of the UK-originated live action comedy My Spy Family earlier this year.
"Boomerang has become the home of our live action shows such as My Spy Family and The Latest Buzz, and a new series of Life with Derek will only strengthen the channel's offering," said Cecilia Persson, Turner Kids vice president of programming, acquisition and presentation.
Life with Derek is set in a modern step-family with two 15-year-olds, Casey and Derek, who battle it out to take control of their house and their school. It is produced by Canadian indie Shaftesbury Films.
