2waytraffic has signed multiple deals on its Japanese entertainment format, Silent Library.
The comedy format, in which a team of players perform pranks and punishments on each other whilst having to remain as silent as possible, has been sold to six territories.
In France, youth channel Virgin 17 has commissioned a transmittable pilot from independent producer Coyote, and in Romania, Zucchero/Power Media is producing a 12 x 30-minute gameshow version of the format for B1 TV, due for transmission this autumn.
In Scandinavia, Norwegian producer, Nordisk, has been commissioned to create a 10 x 30-minute gameshow version for broadcast on SBS Kanal 5 in Sweden, SBS Net in Denmark and TV Norge in Norway.
Lastly, Antena 3 in Spain is currently broadcasting a 40 x 13-minute series on its youth channel, Antena Neox, named locally as La Biblioteka.
Silent Library was created by Japanese comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto in 2001 as part of NTV's variety show, Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende.
