Sony Pictures TV has signed a one-year, first-look deal with Red Planet Pictures, the indie run by Life on Marsco-creator Tony Jordan.

Sony Pictures TV has signed a one-year, first-look deal with Red Planet Pictures, the indie run by Life on Marsco-creator Tony Jordan. Jordan said the plan was to bring UK and US writers together to develop ideas for shows that would work in both the US and the UK. Life on Marsis currently being adapted by David E. Kelley for ABC. Sony has also signed a blind-script deal with Foyle's Warcreator Anthony Horowitz to develop a one-hour project with US producer Darren Star. The company already has a first-look deal with BBC Worldwide which generated musical drama and Blackpoolremake Viva Laughlin.
