Passion for World of Wonder

Passion Distribution, the sales house being launched by Sally Miles, has secured its first exclusive content deal with factual indie World of Wonder.

Passion will represent the indie's entire catalogue of programming and formats, totalling hundreds of hours of series and singles.

The indie has offices in both London and Los Angeles and its content had previously been sold by iD Distribution, the sales house Miles founded and was chief executive of until November when she stepped down.

The deal includes the new series of Tori & Dean, an ob-doc starring Tori Spelling and her husband, Dean McDermott, produced by World of Wonder's LA office. The third 9 x 60-minute run of the show, titled Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, will follow the former Beverly Hills 90210 star to Tinseltown. It airs on the Oxygen network in the US.

It also includes hour-long documentary David Ogilvy: The First Mad Man, produced by the indie's London division. The special, which tracks the achievements of the British ad genius, was originally commissioned by BBC4 to coincide with its broadcast of US drama Mad Men.

Other recent commissions for World of Wonder include a profile of German photographer Andreas Gorsky for BBC1's Imagine strand and the 90-minute Reverend Death, which follows journalist Jon Ronson's five-year investigation into a US priest who "helps" people commit suicide.

Randy Barbato, co-principal of World of Wonder, said: "Never has there been a greater need for us to work with international production partners when seeking finance towards budgets."
