Eyeworks teams up with Bebo for music show

C4 music show Transmission with T-Mobile will make its debut on Bebo when the series returns next week.

Users of the social network will be able to access exclusive video content including interviews, backstage material and a first look at upcoming episodes as well as clips of a new feature in which two bands perform together.

Among the artists collaborating are Sam Sparro and Annie, while Charlatans play with Dirty Pretty Things.

The site will form part of the Channel 4 "family" on Bebo alongside Big Brother and Shipwrecked.

The material is produced by indie Eyeworks UK's new branded content division, which is also making a web series for Nike to tie in with its "Most Wanted" football campaign and for Unilever to promote Impulse deodorant.

The division is headed by Eyeworks UK's former commercial director Paul Day, in the new role of director of branded content.

"We have been working in the advertiser-funded area for a number of years and this expansion marks a real step forward for the company," said Day. "It's a reaction to the fact that opportunities in this area have been steadily increasing."

Digital consultant Dave Pears, a former Endemol digital creative who joins from the Guardian Media Group, will work with Eyeworks UK's development team to ensure that all branded projects include a digital element alongside terrestrial offerings.
