The BBC iPlayer service on Virgin Media recorded over 10m viewings during its first full month on the platform, the cable giant has announced.
The first TV service to make the BBC iPlayer catch-up service available, Virgin Media attracted half as many viewings as the BBC website during the month of June. It initially launched on the platform in May.
The top 10 programmes on the BBC iPlayer on Virgin Media last month included EastEnders, Doctor Who and children's show In the Night Garden.
Virgin Media chief executive officer of content Malcolm Wall said: "Our customers are using BBC iPlayer on Virgin Media to watch the BBC programmes they want, when they want - from the most loved prime-time TV shows to children's series like In the Night Garden.
The iPlayer launched at the end of last year.
