4Music to support C4's House Party

4Music will support Channel 4’s House Party with a weekend of content dedicated to dance music featuring David Guetta, LMFAO and Sara Cox.

On 24 August (Fri), the channel will broadcast a four-and-a-half hour special, The Biggest Selling Dance Hits of the 21st Century, complied by The Official Charts Company.

Other highlights during the weekend include LMFAO’s countdown of their top 50 party tracks and David Guetta: Nothing But the Beat, a documentary following his preparations for his first ever full UK tour.

The content was ordered by Dave Young, Box TV director of programming and - Guetta’s film aside - all content was produced in-house.

Phil Poole, Box TV programming controller, said: “4Music’s Dance Party Weekend is part of Channel 4’s ‘House Party’ and is scheduled to be the closing party of Summer on 4Music.

“The line-up is the ultimate guide to hit dance music, reflecting the nationwide appetite to get closer to global dance superstars like LMFAO and David Guetta.”

C4 will be broadcasting a six-hours of uninterrupted music on 24 August between 12am and 6am with six DJs, including Annie Mac and Grandmaster Flash, playing one-hour sets each.

House Party will be preceeded by an Idris Elba fronted documentary, How Clubbing Changed the World.
