BBC Trust is “broken” say MPs

MPs at today’s Public Accounts Committee hearing were repeatedly “astounded” that the BBC Trust did not ask former DG Mark Thompson more rigorous questions about the “eye-watering” £1.02m paid to his former deputy Mark Byford.
