Buena Vista adds Barwick to distribution arm

Buena Vista International Television (BVITV) has added to its London-based international distribution arm, with the promotion of Simon Barwick as senior sales manager for UK and Ireland.

Buena Vista International Television (BVITV) has added to its London-based international distribution arm, with the promotion of Simon Barwick as senior sales manager for UK and Ireland.

Barwick, who moves internally from BVITV's Hong Kong office, where he worked as finance director, will sell content such as feature films from Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures.

He will also be responsible for the distribution of network series like Lost, Desperate Housewivesand Grey's Anatomy, Disney-branded kids' series, and ABC News content. Barwick will work with BVITV's free TV, pay TV and digital media clients.

He reports to BVITV's vice president sales UK and Ireland, Nordic, Benelux and Israel Catherine Powell and begins with immediate effect.

Previously, Barwick held commercial roles at BSkyB and Foxtel Australia.

BVITV also recently hired Ed Humphrey from Flextech as director of digital media for Europe Middle East and Asia.
