Channel 4 has cemented its ongoing commitment to music programming with a third extensive run for Freshly Squeezed.
The early morning music show, which recently celebrated its 300th episode, will run every weekday at 7am for half an hour from September 2008 to May 2009.
The show, made by Remedy Productions, will continue to be hosted by Alexa Chung, Nick Grimshaw, Rick Edwards and ZeZi Ifore and compile the highlights from E4 Music including music videos, interviews and exclusive performances.
E4 Music, also produced by Remedy, was recently recommissioned for a fourth series and runs every day from 6am to 8am. Both shows were commissioned by C4's head of music Neil McCallum.
Recent guests to the shows have included Beyonce, Girls Aloud and Jennifer Lopez. Amy Winehouse, Sugababes and the Ting Tings have all performed acoustic sets on the shows.
McCallum said: "Their success stems not only from a great music mix, breadth of guests and amazing performances but also due to our superb presenters. I'm proud to say that E4 Music has become synonymous with investing in and the nurturing of new on-screen talent and this will continue to be our focus over the next year."
