Steven D Wright, creative director of entertainment at Shine, is leaving the company after six years.
He has not finalised the details of his next move but is considering a number of roles both in and outside the TV industry. He will finish at Shine at the end of the month although he will remain as executive producer on his current commissions, Most Annoying Couples and Most Annoying People of 2008 for BBC3, and Je Suis un Rock Star for Channel 4.
"After six years at Shine I've decided to seek out a new challenge," he said. "I've been very proud to be part of the best company in TV and wish them all the very best for the future."
Shine chairman and chief executive Elisabeth Murdoch said: "Steven's contribution to Shine, both in terms of output and culture, has been invaluable since joining us in our formative years."
Wright has landed Shine around £35m of programming business during his time there, including The Story of Light Entertainment for BBC2, Musicool, The Truth about Take That and Abi Titmus: The Modern Day Morality Tale for C4, Chavs for Sky One and The Most Annoying... brand on BBC3.
He made his name in television as producer of The Word and subsequently rose to commissioning editor of factual entertainment at C4.
