Mark Linsey, Kim Shillinglaw, Sara Geater and Mel Leach are among the high profile speakers at Broadcast’s Indie Summit in March.

Indie Summit

The BBC Studios, Endemol Shine UK, All3Media and Twofour executives will appear at the event, which quickly became one of Broadcast’s top conferences when it launched last year. This year’s summit will take place at Bafta on 16 March.

Other indie bosses speaking include The Garden’s Nick Curwin, Maverick Television’s Simon Knight and Nine Lives’ Cat Lewis, as well as Pact’s John McVay.

The day-long event will include sessions dedicated to a variety of industry areas including Five Ways to Grow Your Indie and How We Got Our Show Commissioned.

There will also be a session on the new sources of investment flooding into the indie sector, as well as one dedicated to former commissioners and channel controllers talking about how working for a broadcaster has informed their strategies as producers.

The results of the Broadcast Indie Survey 2017 will also be revealed at the summit, ahead of an expert State Of The Nation panel.

Broadcast editor Chris Curtis said the event is designed for the production sector to share ideas and experiences, and that it will highlight opportunities and threats and how best to confront them.

“Delegates will hear from some of the best in the industry what it takes to build a successful indie,” he added.

The Broadcast Indie Summit takes place on 16 March at Bafta, 195 Piccadilly
