WOW names head of development
Hancock, who joined the indie in 2005, told Broadcastnow he intended to build upon the company's reputation for “partial insanity” as well as expand the production of “high art” programming.
Recent productions from the indie include More 4's recent True Stories documentary Stanley Kubrick's Boxes as well as the Tori Spelling reality show Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood and Heidi Fleiss: The Would-Be Madam of Crystal.
Initially, Hancock helped develop BBC3's Dart Tarts and Channel 4's The World's Biggest Penis before working on his first production role on Thisisaknife, C4's first online-only show that ran to over 100 episodes.
His first TV production role was on Wired for Sex, looking at the impact of technology on sexual behaviour, for G4 in the USA.
Currently the indie has shows in development for C4, E4 and BBC3.
