ITV has secured live Uefa Cup football coverage until May 2012 after signing an extension to its existing deal with the European football governing body.
Under the terms of the new agreement, ITV will broadcast seven of the second choice matches, five of the third choice games and three of the fourth, throughout the duration of the tournament.
Games will be broadcast predominantly on ITV4, with matches kicking-off at either 6.05pm or 8.05pm as part of the competition's new format.
In addition to its Uefa Cup coverage, ITV has the rights to screen live Uefa Champions League and FA Cup action in addition to England internationals until 2012.
ITV is also screening live coverage of Uefa Euro 2008 and the Fifa World Cups in 2010 and 2014.
The deal for the Uefa Cup coverage includes live simulcast rights for ITV.com and rights for ITV Mobile.
