Nick Jr cooks up healthy eating show

Nickelodeon has commissioned Dot to Dot Productions to make a cookery series for Nick Jr.

Bubble and Squeakis the latest show to be commissioned from Nickelodeon UK's piloting scheme campaign and is part of the network's Nicktrition healthy lifestyle initiative.

The 22 x 20-minute pre-school series, which will air in February, is presented by a wizard and a frog called Bubble and Squeak and uses live action, puppets, stories and specially created recipes to present food and cooking in a new way to the under-fives.

Nickelodeon UK general manager and director of channels Howard Litton said: 'Magical, and fun, Bubble and Squeakencourages pre-schoolers to find out more about healthy food.'
