BBC3 is lining up comic Noel Fielding to present new Friday night live-style entertainment strand The Wall.
It is understood the star, who is best known for playing Vince Noir in cult BBC3 comedy The Mighty Boosh will be one of three hosts for the programme.
BBC3 controller Danny Cohen's has said that he wanted a show like Friday Night Live or The 11 O'Clock Show which could yield talent that became "faces" of the channel.
The Wall (working title) will be made by Zeppotron and will feature live comedy, music and celebrity guests. The action revolves around a huge video wall where viewers can react to the show in real time.
They will be able to make suggestions and send in their own questions for celebrity guests while the programme is on air. New talent will be able to audition online to get the opportunity to perform on the show, with the audience both in the studio and at home rating them.
Viewers can also submit jokes, upload their own sketches, rate each other's contributions and access extra content on The Wall's website.
The BBC has yet to finalise the length of each episode or the series run.
A BBC spokeswoman said that talks for the presenting team are still ongoing.
