In the fourth part of Broadcast's interview with Peter Kosminsky the director talks about highlighting the inadequacies of the care system in No Child of Mine and the difficulties that surrounded making the abuse-themed drama.

With No Child of Mine (1997), Kosminsky was one of the first directors to tackle the subject of child abuse. The drama was based on the true story of a 13-year-old girl who was repeatedly sexually abused. "No Child of Mine was without question the most difficult and troubling film I've ever made and I genuinely don't know if I'd make it again now," he said.

Fascinating: a lucid and timely plea, for a sea change in the commisioning of new serious drama, by an intelligent and inspiring director.
