Twofour exec joins SW Screen

Twofour chief executive and Pact chair Charles Wace has joined the board of development agency South West Screen.

Wace is among five new senior creative media executives to join the board of the funding body, which is backed by the UK Film Council and the South West of England Regional Development Agency.

Bebo director of digital content Dan'l Hewitt is also on board as part of South West Screen's plans to represent a wider range of media.

The new signings also include former director of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport Brian Leonard, film producer and regular Ken Loach collaborator Rebecca O'Brien and educational media consultant Chris Wensley.

"Recent technological advances have transformed the media industries so our new board members join us at a pivotal time in our development," said South West Screen chief executive Caroline Norbury.

"Convergence means that those who look to us to champion their needs today define themselves within the wider creative media industries rather than via specific formats or platforms.

"Broadening the expertise on our board allows us to respond to the changing needs of the creative companies we support and we are extremely grateful to our new and existing board members for the time and expertise they bring to us."
