Director of programmes for Virgin 1, Bravo, Trouble and Challenge Celia Taylor has quit her post.
Virgin Media TV director of television Claudia Rosencrantz wrote an email to all staff, informing them of Taylor's decision.
Taylor, who is still on maternity leave, is understood to be looking for a new challenge.
She joined Virgin Media TV (then Flextech) in 2005 as deputy channel controller, Challenge and Trouble having previously worked at the BBC as a senior commissioning executive.
Virgin Media TV said it was currently recruiting for the role and hoped to appoint a successor this year. The role reports into Rosencrantz and Virgin Media TV managing director Johnny Webb.
Daniela Neumann will remain acting director of programmes in the meantime.
