Cardiff indie Green Bay has appointed business advisor PKF to consider its strategic opportunities including buying other production companies or a sale to another indie.Green Bay creative director John Geraint said PKF was conducting a comprehensive business review that would consider many options for the company's ownership. A management buy-out is another possibility.
'We've had some informal approaches from London companies and we're still in discussions with one of them,' Geraint said.
But he added that Green Bay is currently focusing on organic growth: 'That's driven by the range of what we do in London and internationally, as well as our position in the Welsh market.'
Geraint said Green Bay had tripled its turnover in the past year after securing a £300,000 venture capital investment from Finance Wales.
Recent commissions include Small Countryfor S4C, a 4 x 60-minute period drama series about life in Wales on the eve of the First World War.
