'It is great to be reunited with Noel having worked with him at the BBC, and we are currently in talks with him about developing some new primetime ideas,' Sky One director of programming Richard Woolfe told Broadcast.
The 90-minute one-off is being made by TwoFour and produced by Greg Barnett. It is exec produced for the indie by Melanie Leach and for Sky One by Woolfe and Sky One commissioning editor, entertainment and features Donna Taberer. It will air on Christmas Day.
In addition, Jerry Springer has been named as the person who will ask the personal questions on Nothing But the Truth, which Ruggie Media is making as a 8 x 60-minute series.
The format sees contestants attached to a polygraph and forced to answer risqué questions such as 'Have you ever touched anyone at work inappropriately?' in front of their friends and family. It was developed by Reveille.
Sky One has also confirmed the locations featured in the next series of Bafta-winning Ross Kemp on Gangs. They are gangs in East Timor, the Jamaican yardies, Columbian hit squads and Neo-Nazi football hooligans in Poland. The 4 x 60-minute series from Tiger Aspect will air in October.
Meanwhile, Sky One has confirmed GMTV's Jenni Falconer will replace Ruby Wax as the host of the second series of Cirque de Celebritéwhen it airs in the autumn.
