As well as the ITV Productions show, he will follow his three-part Sandbanks series with another documentary series and host topical special projects through 2009 and 2010.
The deal was sealed by ITV director of television Peter Fincham who described Morgan as "one of the most sought-after and popular entertainment personalities on British television".
Morgan will also retain his judging position on the third series of Britain's Got Talent.
Prior to agreeing the ITV deal Morgan was signed up to present a show for BBC1 that will be made by Crackit, Elaine Hackett's indie start-up that is 25% owned by ITV. The eight-part show will be called Piers Morgan's The Dark Side of Fame.
