Comedians Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuiness will go cheese rolling in Gloucestershire and pig racing in Dorset as part of a new IWC Media series for Five.
Rory & Paddy's Road of Sport (working title) will send the pair on a trip around the country to take part in unusual but quintessentially British events.
Other events in the 4 x 60-minute series will include: wife carrying, bog snorkelling and nettle eating.
Five controller of factual entertainment Steve Gowans commissioned the show and said the channel was "anticipating some record breaking performances as Rory and Paddy take on the rest of the UK in a series of obscure and rather ridiculous sporting events."
The executive producer is Franny Moyle and the series producer is Mike McDowell.
