Griffiths named ITV finance chief

Former Emap group finance director Ian Griffiths has landed the same role at ITV. 

Griffiths will report to chief operating officer John Cresswell, who described him as a "respected and experienced candidate" and a "key member of our executive team".

Griffiths spent more than a decade at Emap, which publishes Broadcast, but left after the publically listed media company was broken up and sold into private ownership.

Griffiths said the job was "an exciting opportunity in a vibrant and rapidly developing media sector".

Prior to joining Emap, he worked for the corporate finance team at Ernst & Young.
