Prime Minister Gordon Brown has ordered a review of all the intelligence material around the Omagh bombing, following claims by BBC's Panorama that the bombers phones were being tapped before it happened.
Sir Peter Gibson, the Intelligence Services Commissioner, will lead the enquiry into the 1998 atrocity. According to the Press Association he will look at all intercept material from the security and intelligence services and how it was shared.
The Panorama documentary, which aired on Monday, claimed Government Communications Headquarters was tapping the bombers' phones in the lead up to the 1998 bombing, which killed 29 people, and asked whether it could have been stopped.
