Virgin Radio programming and marketing director David Lloyd is to step down from his role as part of a senior-level restructure following the sale of the station.

His role will be taken up Clive Dickens, the programme and operations director of Absolute Radio. Lloyd, formerly managing director of Global Radio's LBC, had been with the broadcaster for just under a year. He was hired by Virgin Radio's former owner, SMG. Meanwhile, Virgin Radio digital media director Andy Grumbridge is also stepping down from his position at the station, which will relaunch with a new name later this year. Both Lloyd and Grumbridge will remain at the station, but details of their new duties have not been revealed.
