Denise Van Outen's future as co-host of Capital Radio's breakfast show is in doubt just five months into her year-long deal because she is finding it difficult to juggle her roles in TV and radio.
Van Outen who co-hosts the show with Johnny Vaughan, told Capital producers six weeks ago that she was finding it difficult getting up at 4am to present the show and then work on TV projects during the day. She is under contract until February 2009.
A GCap source said Van Outen had not quit, contrary to reports, but that her contract was under discussion and a decision would be made soon.
Van Outen was a panellist on BBC1's I'd Do Anything — reprising her role after Any Dream Will Do – before winning a role on ITV1's Who Dares Sings.
She will also host Sky One's Hairspray: The School Musical.
GCap Media's move to reunite Vaughan and Van Outen on Capital's breakfast show failed to generate significant audience gains, after latest Rajar figures recorded listener numbers between the 6am-9am slot fell by 7.6% year on year.
