5 Live confirms football win

BBC Radio 5 Live has confirmed it has won the radio rights to broadcast FA Cup and England international matches for a further four years, as exclusively revealed last week by Broadcast.

The broadcaster and its sister digital station BBC 5 Live Sports Extra will broadcast all England's home international games and some friendly games played away from home. Radio 5 Live will have live commentary of England's home games starting with the friendly against the Czech Republic on 20 August. The deal with the FA started on Sunday 10 August with the Community Shield at Wembley.
