TalkSport has parted company with weekend overnight presenter Mike Mendoza as part of a reshuffle under programme director Moz Dee.
He hosted the Mike Mendoza Show from 1am-6am on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
Mendoza joined the UTV-owned station in 2004 presenting on weeknights, before switching to weekends two years later. He previously worked for London talk station LBC.
Mendoza was banned for a week following comments made in May last year during a discussion about footballers "jumping on the bandwagon" with regards to news stories.
When citing David Beckham's appeal to find missing toddler Madeline McCann, he said: "Now you tell me, paedophiles in general are the type of people that surely would not follow football."
He added: "Not many gay people to the best of my knowledge are great football fans."
A TalkSport spokesman confirmed the broadcaster was not renewing Mendoza's contract.
