Snowdon replaces Van Outen at Capital

Lisa Snowdon has stepped into Denise Van Outen's shoes as the permanent co-host of Johnny Vaughan's Capital 95.8 breakfast show.

Snowdon takes over with immediate effect after spending the last few weeks standing in on the show. Van Outen quit just six months in to a 12-month contract after apparently struggling to balance her TV commitments with the early starts required by the show.

Snowdon is a former model and has hosted the successful Britain's Next Top Model on Living.

She said she had "grown up with Capital" and that Vaughan's show was "London's most iconic breakfast show".

Capital 95.8 managing director Paul Jackson said: "Lisa has been outstanding in recent weeks and we have received an amazing response from our listeners. She is a fantastic talent with a natural flair for radio, and works brilliantly alongside Johnny."
