Folder Media acquires Fun Radio

Digital radio and new media specialist Folder Media has completed the acquisition of children's broadcaster Fun Radio for an undisclosed fee.

Earlier this year, Broadcast reported that Folder Media was close to securing the deal. However, the proposed deal was slowed down due to rights issues.

Fun Radio was previously co-owned by Children's Radio UK, Hit Entertainment and kids radio campaigner Susan Stranks, who was also said to be in the bidding.

Broadcast recently revealed that Folder Media had helped set up the Radio Forum, a new industry group for digital-only and smaller radio operators so they can discuss the issues facing them in their part of the sector.
