Rajars: 95.8 Capital FM's morning duo Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon have made a surprising return as the top breakfast show in London.
Q3 Rajar figures showed the Global Radio-owned station claimed victory between both 6-9am and 6-10am, with 862,000 listeners tuning in every morning.
Overall, 95.8 Capital FM has enjoyed its biggest leap in listening hours since Q1 2006. Its figure of 11,133,000 hours represents a share increase from 4.6% to 5.4% quarter on quarter.
London's Heart 106.2 Breakfast duo Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott saw its share increase 4% quarter on quarter and is now listened to by 768,000 people in the capital.
Heart, however, remains number one commercial station in London among 25 - 44 year-olds, reaching almost a million of these listeners every week.
Magic 105.4, which was previously the most popular breakfast option, dropped into third place with a 15.7% drop quarter on quarter to 732,000 - down 17.3% year on year.
