Brief Post on a 1 x 50-minute programme that reveals some of the latest animals to have been discovered by paleontologists around the world in the last decade.

How it was done Senior dubbing Mixer Nick Fry used Pro Tools and one of The Farm’s bespoke software packages Violet to create a rich and varied sounding landscape for the film.

Sound designer Blair Jollands created new atmospheres and dinosaur sounds using natural sounds as a source and then distorting and blending them into new sounds.

SFX such as human screams, emotive dinosaur vocalisations and the piercing clashing of armory were used to create a warlike, adrenaline fuelled atmosphere.

Perry Gibbs graded the series with Digital Vision Nucoda Film Master and Owen Hulme onlined with Symphony.

Watch it Sunday, 5.35pm, BBC HD
