Brief Post for Ben Fogle’s fourth series about people who have turned their back on the modern world and set up home in some of the world’s most remote locations.
How it was done Media was ingested and the offline edit conducted at a native HD resolution, using Avid Media Composer 7 with Boris FX. After picture lock, Mike Curd completed the grade in Baselight, using a full range of tools to exploit the dynamic range of the Sony F55-shot XAVC media. Dubbing mixer Cecile Janet performed the track lay and dubbing mix using Pro Tools 11 and an Avid S6 control surface, adding multiple spot effects and layers of atmosphere to create an immersive but subtle soundscape, which evoked the Laos location of the first episode. The final mastering session was performed by Christopher Garwood in Avid Symphony.
