BVE North 2012 has opened for registrations.

Last year’s inaugural show, which took place at Manchester Central, attracted 2,500 visitors and 90 exhibitors over two days.

Organisers said this year’s show would have 62% more floor space, with Arri, Blackmagic, JVC, Panasonic, Sennheiser and Vizrt among the confirmed exhibitors.

Seminars in three theatres will cover 3D across sports, documentaries, gaming and entertainment, as well as IT, audio and post-production solutions, and production best practice.

Speakers include Red Production Company chief executiveNicola Shindler, BBC North head of technology Tim Sargeant and head of technology, BBC HD and 3D, Andy Quested.

BVE North 2012 will also see the introduction of The Media Industry Forum, a two-day invitation-only forum that will examine trends in the consumption of digital media, identify the new commissioners and funders of content and assess the outlook for UK TV and film production nationally and internationally.

BVE North takes place 13-14 November at Manchester Central.
