Brief Give a ‘fairytale’ touch to the 3 x 60-minute adaptation of the Anthony Trollope novel.

How it was done To give it a Disney feel, colourist Ross Baker, using Nucoda Film Master, isolated colours to make the green and blues ‘pop out’ and held back the reds for natural skin tones. He then gave the women’s faces a soft sheen. For the audio, Simon Hill used Avid Pro Tools v11 and D-Command to pay homage to Disney, crafting happy birds and high-register atmospheres for joyful scenes, while crows and lower-frequency winds were used when events turn evil. ADR helped to remove modern background sounds and added humour through coughs, breaths and giggles. Rob Grainger completed the online. The sound supervisor was Jay Price.
