Envy wins Best Post House award for record sixth time

The full-service facility fought off competition from Dock 10, Encore, Films at 59, Molinare and last year’s winner Halo to pick up its sixth Broadcast Award.

One of the awards judges said that Envy “consistently provides first-class post service and product, with excellent post-producers overseeing projects”.

Over the past few months, Envy has expanded, opening a sixth central London facility on Mortimer Street at the end of last year.

Envy’s management and accounts departments are now set to move from Rathbone Place to its Mortimer Street building in May, when another floor of the building opens.

Their departure will allow Envy to turn its Rathbone Place building into an exclusively long-form post facility.

The Voice UK (ITV) is one of the series currently being worked on by Envy at another of its buildings, Holden House.

Other projects include Pointless (BBC1), Common Sense (BBC2) and 999 (C4).

In response to a continued increase in the amount of rushes shot by clients, as well as more 4K work, Avid ingest capacity has been doubled, while the firm’s LTO storage system has been upgraded to LTO7 to speed up archiving.

Recent new joiners at Envy include business development executive Nicola Whitehead from Blue 2.0 and colourist Andrew Cloke from Splice.

The winner of the Avid-sponsored Best Post-Production House award is chosen by an independent panel of producers, line producers and production managers.

It is awarded to the post firm that has consistently provided outstanding service for programme-makers.
