Evolutions has recruited Envy colourist Blair Wallace to lead the grading team at its new Bristol postproduction facility.

Wallace, who has taken on the role of head of grading (Bristol), counts programmes including Top Gear and Dogging Tales among his credits.

Evolutions managing director Simon Kanjee said Wallace’s CV was “perfect” for Bristol’s community of predominantly factual production companies.

“The main issue is that there is not enough creative talent in the region; good offl ine editors are booked six months into next year.

“We believe that talent is key to a successful post house, and this investment in people for our clients reinforces that.”

The Bristol offshoot of the London-headquartered facility has also hired Aardman Animation dubbing mixer Will Norie as head of audio.

He is joined by three new recruits from Films at 59: head of technical operations Tom Arnold, head of post Gabriel Wetz and senior post producer Robin Slater.
