Brief Post-production on a 4 x 60-minute series in which Professor Brian Cox reveals how the planet’s beauty is created by just a handful of natural forces.

How it was done The series was shot in locations and environments that required low-light filming and, subsequently, delicate grading to bring the natural elements to life. The Sony FS7 camera was used to capture ‘moonbows’ and the Aurora Borealis.

Then, using the Digital Vision Nucoda Film Master, colourist Ross Baker helped reveal the different natural phenomena by enhancing their colour detail. For the audio, the challenge was to create a rich soundscape that underpinned the complex concepts without distracting the viewer’s attention. Jay Price completed the sound design. John Rogerson and Danny Finn mixed the audio.
