How it was done The challenge for the sound team was to realise a rich sound for the epic look of the film yet retain an odd air in keeping with writer Simon Donald’s cryptic characters. The drama was mixed by associate sound mixer Howard Bargroff. Chris Roberts was supervising sound editor, while sound effects editor and sound designer Blair Jollands and dialogue editor Phil Barnes worked with Encore’s assistant sound editor Joe Fletcher. Jollands joined the production in Iceland to record the wind, ice and props such as skidoos, patrol boats, husky sleds and helicopters. Jet Omoshebi was colourist, while Nick Timms, Simon Brooks and Adam Eddy were online editors.
