Brief Edit, conform, grade and finish the 8 x 60-minute comedy drama about childhood friends who set out to backpack through China.

How it was done Director Jonathan van Tulleken asked for a punchy and bold grade featuring saturated warm colours that would match the heat of South-East Asia.

Where normal practice would be to ensure highlights don’t burn out, colourist Thomas Urbye, using a Quantel Rio 4K, instead clipped out the whites and boosted colours throughout.

A saturation versus saturation curve was used to boost less saturated colours only. Rich and deep shadows were achieved thanks to a strong S-curve.

Mark Maltby completed the online edit. The post-producer was Dan Marbrook.

Squint completed and delivered the visual effects shots.
