Halo’s flagship Studio 1 dubbing stage is to be refurbished with the installation of a Dolby Atmos system.

The refit, which will begin on Saturday, will include a 46 speaker, Dolby Atmos system for immersive cinema and Imax mixing.

A refresh of the machine room and support facilities as well as a cosmetic overhaul of the studio interior and a redesign of the client seating area will also be undertaken at the Soho post-production facility.

Productions that have used the stage include Paddington (pictured), The Danish Girl, Les Miserables, The Nice Guys and Stone Roses: Made of Stone.

Halo is working with Dolby, studio design firm Level Acoustic Design and reseller Jigsaw24 on the refurbishment. The stage will reopen in mid-February.
