Brief Design and produce a title sequence for the series and develop a style that could be used to build all the descriptive in-show graphics, explaining the problems that each individual property has and how they could be rectified.

How it was done The titles and overall design of the show was built around a quirky stylised representation of the perfect house using inspiration from the films of director Tim Burton.

The house transforms as the weather changes to reveal all its problems, cracking and collapsing. We move inside to see the electrics failing the walls collapsing the floors cracking etc, generally showing the worst the house can be and then pull back to the main shot of the house to reveal the title of the show.

Each house throughout the series was modelled in 3D - using Lightwave - in the same quirky style and a series of animations were built to show the specific locations and problems related to the house in question.

Compositing was done in After Effects. The senior designer was Matt Gee.
